I just ran 3d mark 2001 on my machine (id heard 2001 was actually better for games than the newer ones) and first got a score of 10,400 and something, (with FSAA turned off) and then ran it with x4 FSAA turned on and got 9,400 and something. I cant be arsed registering to find out if this is a good score tho, so can anyone tell me how good/bad this is?

that's like saying my car goes 90mph, is that good?

    What specs do you have?!!

    10000 is about right for a p4 2-3GHz or amd 2500ish, 512MB ram and a mid-level gfx card rad9600 or FX5600.

so if you have this then its good. looking at ur scores you might have a TI4600 or similar?

    go look your score up.

    Based on a 2.4GHz~ PC, a Ti4600 should get over 13000, even my standard GeForce3 gets 11,300.
    High-end cards hover around the 20k mark (9800 Pro/XT FX5900/5950 Ultra)

Ive got an AMD 2000+, 512mb ram, and a radeon 9800 pro. Ill prolly get a new processor sometime after christmas too, to really give it a kick up the arse.

I think your score should be more like 15,000 with that setup

i think you score is a bit low are you running it with the cats 3.9? i had a 6000 point drop in going from the cats 3.8 to 3.9. try reverting to 3.8 and see if it improves things

well at the end of the day its real world gaming performane that matters so if COD runs fine on the 3.9 happy days then and we can just look forward to the 4.0's or what ever they'll call them
