lost sound on my computer

    hi,
    well my problem is that all of a sudden no sound comes outta my pc.
    Its not my headphones, they work grand on everything else.
    I have them plugged into the right jack.
    I've checked the volume control and nothings muted or anything.
    It used to work perfectly, and i don't think i've done anything that could've messed with it.
    any ideas???

    ok, i'm stupid!!

    forgot to follow my own #1 piece of advice to anyway,
    "reboot and see what happens..."

    all is ok now.
