This won't make any sense to anyone who hasnt read The Star Fraction and the rest of the seires by Ken MacLeod.

Just wondering how other people place The Sky Road in relation to The Cassini Division.
I mean, the time between wilde leaving the solar system and his return to it wasn't long enough
for the earth to go into a new black age, and forget everything and make it's way back into an anachro-communist state.
although granted the messed up idea the earth people had of the past in the cassini division was obvious (capitalists in stove pipe hats).
Can anyone shed some light on this or did he actually make such an odd miscalculation?

And another thing what's the Engines Of Light seires like? I've only gotten the chance to read the blurb on the back, and not one single mention of socialism?! that's a radical step for him.

And to people who haven't read anything by him:
His mentor was Iain Banks, do I really need to say any more?
    . . .

And he's scottish, and you get the impression he's the kind of guy who, given the chance, would carry and AK-47 around with him incase the 'revolution' came when he wasn't expecting it. ;)
