    Our online helpline was getting quite a few hits last night and there were great conversations had. When asked about how he found the service a client typed the following;

    "....felt that the chat room was a great personal 1-to-1 resource which offers a great chance to get what you want off your chest in an anonymous and non threatening manner..."

    We will be online with the helpline next Tuesday - 16th December from 7pm - 9pm

    Great idea and a very welcome resource. I know its early days, but is it intended ot make the Tuesday evening thing a regular slot, or alternatively to publish a schedule in advance - I'd find it useful to refer guys to it.

    Hi De Rebel,
    thanks for the post. We are getting a good response from the site and the Online Helpline. At the moment the Online Helpline will have a regular Tuesday slot. The next Tuesday it will be operational will be on Tuesday 6th January.
    We are in the process of training more operators for Helpline/Online Helpline and other Outreach services, so that may mean that the Online Helpline could be extended to two nights if the demand is there for it.
    If you are referring people onto the Online Helpline, make sure they type in a name, it doesn't have to be their real name - its just the system sometimes doesn't pick up on people who don't enter a name in.
