Yes I just thought I'd point ye to a bargain from Eircom...

Available to all us lucky gits in the 0402 area according to my local directory...

Apparently if you stick with Eircom rather than be a bold boy or girl, in this area you not only get to have local call charges here but you can also call:
    Ardattin,Ballickmoyler,Ballon,Carlow,Castledermot,coolkenno,kilergig cross,mageney,milford,myshal,Rathoe,rathvilly and Tullow

All for the price of a local call too as well as all in the 0404 an 055 areas.

I'd never move to any other telecom company, no never this is just too good

What a shame there isn't a farseeing telco (or even a mindless inward looking company) that offers local call rate on 26, nay, 32 counties. Ah, something we'll never see.

Those Eircom bods have their finger on the pulse of what makes this country great. I salute them.

    Ballickmoyler eh?

    Man

You could always ring Carlow et al as a local call from 0402. Been that way for at least 10 years. Bagnalstown now thats a different matter.

James (late of the 0402 area)

Ah! The good old days before the Office of Post and Telegraphs realised there was money to be made out of the new fangled telephone thingy....or was it that you could stay chatting away to your neighbours (while evesdropping on another conversation) for hours on end?

    Mike.
