Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. No Mention of scholes bbop?

Is he is not in the top ten best players in the premiership? Not just on todays performance but in the run in to the Title last year no one did more than him to bring the title to OT again. Class player and definitely on of the very best .

why is owen there? he's done as little/less than rooney this season. Shearer should be there, and is. whoops.
what about keown for sporting his latest handbag at Old Trafford (kidding.)
Toure has been a monster, as has Howard.
Viera? the man is great, but not really playing atm.
the Duffster should be further up the track.

Mutu still a bit unproven I think. He did well on his debut and a game or two after that but he has been quiet enough lately. Yes he's still probably contributing but not enough to warrant such a high ranking imo. For a start Duff is better than him at the minute.
Can't believe someone put Ferdinand in their defence. For a start Silvestre is better and thats just on the Man Yoo team.

    kewell on the right??

everybody thinks ferdinand is one of the best CB in the league

IMO campbell is way better than him much more solid and stronger on the ball he's just not as quick as him

ferdinand is always prone for an odd lapse of concentration too

Well you have to say that Ferdinand has been playing better than Campbell this season, tbh jank. Uniteds defensive record just goes to show how well he has played. You cannot say that Ferdinand has put a foot wrong this season on the pitch apart from Stuttgart where United lost 2-1.

I know I'm a United supporter but you have to give credit where it is due, Ferdinand has been better than Campbell this season...

yeah owen shud not be there,
    Way to over rated,
Did nothing this season as said above.
    Always Injured.

Yea he is injury prone but I don't think he's overrated he's a class striker sometimes tries to do too much at Pool when the team has hit a lull period, remember last season when he hadn't scored in a good bit? he couldnt' stop scoring after he got his confidence back.

For a start, Rooney has only scored twice this season. Owen has played 900 minutes and scored 8 and assisted one. That is probably his best start to a season.

true ferdinand has improved this season however campbell has always been solid

cant think of a game where he messed up this year anyway (no red cards please)!:)

arsenal have only conceeded one more goal than utd so far which goes to show that there is not much between them defensively.

the biggest revelation so far is toure, is he eligable for young player of the year?

if he is he would get my vote for it. Came from nowhere to be part of a solid defense and versitile too, cb or rb or even midfield what a gem for 150k

leahman has also been a hit with the arsenal defense too, talks more and organises it something seaman never really did mainly because tony adams had that job.
They really missed him last year

the same can be said about utd, Since schimceal (sp?) left there hasnt really been a leader in the defense however howard seems to be on the ball telling his players where they should be at,

Barthez was too busy looking at birds in the stands:D
    Jordon anyone

overall not much between the two teams defenisvely

bbop, I know these lists are subjective but I don't know how you can out Mutu above Van Nistelrooy (without having some sort of smiley face there!).

The stats on 4thegame.com (not sure how correct these are) show:

    Mutu This Season
    Appearances: 24(21)
    Goals: 11
    Yellow Cards: 6
    Red Cards: 0

    Van Nistelrooy This Season
    Appearances: 26(26)
    Goals: 19
    Yellow Cards: 5
    Red Cards: 0

So RNV has scored 8 more goals that Mutu in 2 more games but is 2 places behind him?

    Scholes? Lampard? Silvestre?
Anyone who says Ferdinand is better than Silvestre hasn't been watching football
this season. Or is a Liar. Or both.
Once Silvestre gets better in the Air and mybe inproves his positioning he will be one of the best. A true footballing Centre half.

    7: Frank Lampard
    6: Damian Duff
    5: Patrick Viera

DEG viper, how can you say that Frankie Lamps is better than Ryan Giggs? Lampard has had a few outstanding matches but he is not performing on a constintant basis. He could go missing for a whole match and doesn't get involved enough. Mutu and Duff are always more involved than Lampard for Chelsea but you may say that is his style of play. With Makelele in the team Lamps will have to change his style of play or Chelsea will not last.

Well going on performances this season alone I'll go with this line up:

    ___________Howard_____________

    Terry___Gallas___Campbell___A.Cole

    ___________Gerrard______________

    Kewell______Lampard__________Duff

    ___________________Giggs________

    _________Henry__________________

Maybe Crespo in instead of Giggs if I wanted to play to front men.

Jonno How can you justify Gerrard or Lapard ahead of Roy Keane based on this seasons performances.
Suspect that may be a red-tinted view.

Lampard plays for Chelsea and last I saw they played in a blue strip ;) I will justify his selection because IMO he has been great so far and one of the players I really admire in the premiership for the way he plays.

It was a toss up between Keane and Gerrard. I will justify Gerrards selection due to his consistancy this season fro Liverpool. His performances along with Kewell are the only ones that have really stood out for me. Even playing in a position that he is not used to he has produced MOTM performances for the team in there time if need.

    Happy:)
