net games Win 98 with XP

Set up a home LAN between Win98 350 Mhz P2 64MB RAM PC and XP 2.2GHz Celeron PC (256 RAM I think). Trying to find the best games to play on it. Unreal Tournament works well on both. GTA2 has "known compatability issues" on XP. Gunman Chronicles has issues too. Quake 1 won;t run on the XP machine. Carmeggedon TDR says it…

GTA2 has "known compatability issues" on XP. Gunman Chronicles has issues too. Quake 1 won;t run on the XP machine. Carmeggedon TDR says it runs on XP on the case, but doesn;t launch. Diablo 1 and 2 probably work. Red Alert should work too, and so should Half Life if I patch it, although I've yet to try any of these.
Any suggestions?
