I used to swear by cuteFTP for it's useful automation utility extras. What do people go for these days? It's been awhile since I used this so I'm wondering can anyone recommend a good all rounder ftp program (besides the cmdline version) ?
I'm currently looking at getting some rather excellent Amiga PD software that I couldn't use in the early 1990's. Thanks.

Freeware or shareware? .... shareware is nearly always better

Offtopic a bit ... Its really strange about FTP, do a search for freeware FTP servers, there are literally hundreds, but FTP clients have very few freeware (lots of shareware and crippleware) ....

thefreesite.com has a few freeware ftp clients, havent used any though

WS_FTP was the 1st GUI ftp client and I was happy with it. Thanks for the link. I see there is one called FTP Commander. I will see what it is like.

Been using FTP Voyager for years. Don't use FTP clients much these days, but it still serves me well.

Try looking for GNU or "OPEN SOURCE" rather than FREE since most free is just "free 30 day trial"
Netleach is not great but is free.
FTP Voyager is great but not free.

Yes.... just 15 minutes into this and I heartly recommend it to who hasn't tried. This is class. Reminds me of CuteFtp only better. Plenty of configurations & resume.

Again Thanks for the suggestion! :)
