Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cool, just read ESAT BT is setting up its BT Openzone wireless Public Internet network in Insomnia coffee shops across Dublin. That'll be handy.

Insomnia is the first coffee shop chain in the ROI to offer a public Wi-Fi hotspot facility.

Anyone know who well its going?

There's masses of openzone hotspots here in Belfast, but they don't seem very widely used, and I can see why, £6 for an hour????? If they made their prices a little more realistic i'm sure they'd do more business.
Starbucks in the UK use t-mobile and charge only £3 an hour. It's very simple to use, your wifi card will just discover the network and when you fire up your browser you're presented with a web page for paying by credit/debit card or voucher.

With the Openzone hotspots they have a couple of options. You can get a one hour pass for E10, which offers an hour's usage within 24 hours from the first log-on; or pay as-you-go 24-Hour pass, which for E24, offers unlimited usage within 24 hours of the first log-on.

Correct me if I'm wrong here..
you can get Netsource ADSL and an AP and pay for a year up front and still have change from a grand..

    Just a huge rip off.
52 weeks in a year - they only need €20 per week to break even.

Would you frequent a cafe if they charged a little more but had free BB as long as you had a cup of hot coffee on the table - easy to make €20 per week that way - esp during the quite times. They could simply turn off the AP when real customers come in.

Do they charge for using the toilets ?
