Problems with DECT Phones and DSL

Hi all, I've just bought a pair of BT Synergy 3100 DECT cordless phones for the house, but I can't get a dial tone. I'm signed up with UTV BB and was wondering if anybody knew if the filters supplied by UTV cause problems with these type of phones? Are there different types of filters available? Thanks, K.

Doubt it's anything to do with DSL filters. This thread should help:

Thanks - I took the phone down to a DSL-less friends house & it didn't work there either, so it looks like the phone's a dud.
