scrapping car Procedure?

I want to scrap my old heap. Its NCT is out and is in a bad way. If i take it to the local scrap man what paperwork must be done? Is there a death cert for cars? How do I deregister the car? Thanks James

transfer of ownership form, think theres a seperate bit on it for scrapping.
