    anyboby got any fellings on the following two books
    Captain Correlli's Mandolin
    Easy riders Raging bull

    I know thet won buckets of award but dont know if i buy them

    any thoughts

    Boring, pretentious, took itself too seriously, author trying but failing to be like Umberto Eco, according to my boyfriend. I haven't read it but after hearing his opinion, I don't want to.
