Hi, a friend has a playstation 2 bought in the US, when used over here its black and white output on the screen (scart cable) anyone recommend any devices so i can get colour output ?

Sounds like it's NTSC output going into a PAL television. Check if there's output settings on the PS2 menu.

the only way to get the ps2 to output pal colour all the time is open it and solder a certain resistor point to ground. as i dont know how which one it is i aint going into it. i do on the other hand have this yoke. it green screens your dvds but it gives 60hz in full colour on any tv.
