    initiated by NT AUTHORITYSYSTEM

    when that happens go

    start > run > shutdown -a

That will give you enough time to download the msblaster batch of which ur infected by.

A quick search on these boards will provide the exact details

I think you've got the MS Blaster virus. Go here to get the removal tool http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.removal.tool.html.

Sounds like the blaster virus....watch for the w32.welchia.worm too.
I think a lot of us have been there...
You better update your antivirus while you're at it.

Prevention is better than cure. Disable the DCOM hole that allows blaster & friends in. There's a 29k program called DCOMbobulator, get it here.

Poxy bloody comps in college had the poxy bloody Blaster virus when I went to demonstrate my final year project  Thank God for Mozilla, otherwise my whold project would have been useless the way IE ended up showing (or rather not showing) it!

Anyway, get and install the Windows Patch after you clear the virus.

    It is what it's.
