I have Windows Xp and somehow it has changed the way I open folders. Whenever I double-click a folder it opens a search window instead of the folder and i have to right click and open it. Does any1 know how to change it back to the normal double click and open the file?

    Thx

go to control panel >> mouse

i think in there there's the option to select what the double click does set it to default.

Sometimes after adding the right click with the Explorer, the default setting for
    opening a folder is changed.

    To correct this:

    Start Regedit
    Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ Directory \ shell
Edit the default value to be explorer or none

You can download a reg file to do this for you at:

Here (the link is four sections down from the top of the page)

    Hope this helps.
