I have an Advent 6412 DVD laptop and its out of warranty :(
my fan has gone and i am having alot of trouble locating a replacement part!
actually i had alot of trouble finding out anything about the company.
I have rang the staore where i bought the machine and as you an guess they dont care since it is out of warranty! so i was just wondering if anyone knew anywhere i could get a "sam lam CF0550-B10M" CPU fan?
i have tried searching the internet and mailed several Fan specialist companies but none have mailed back or even stock Sam Lam parts!
if anyone could help or knows where i can get an equivalent part. i would be very greatful!

    :)

    thanks

You could try and get the specs of the fan and try and find an alternative replacement for it...or do a bodge-job.

yeah i was thinking of that but the heat sink looks like it was built specifically for the fan! maybe i'm wrong. maybe they are more universal then i believe? i have the voltage(5v) and the amplitude(0.2-0.25amps. ). do maplin do laptop fans?
