    Anyone know of any good Laptop deals in the sales or otherwise ?

    Not looking for any serious specs, something like - 56k modem, cdrw, 30Gb hd, decentish procesor (celeron is fine), 256ram is fine.

    compaq on special offer in pc world seems to meet those requirements it costs €1099, alternatively you could get a similar spec toshiba satelite pro from dabs.co.uk for the same price
