    Crazy as it sounds, it occurs to me that maybe, just maybe they named it "Cyber X Games' to associate it with the "Summer X Games" and "Winter X Games" i.ie. to give it more commercial appeal, and to make it more mainstream so that the average non LANer may actually try to find out about it and LANing and gaming in general.

    This isnt mickey mouse stuff, there was 100 GRAND going in prizes for the CS comp, serious stuff. Clans made a lot of effort to get to Vegas for this tournie(4kings Intel from uk attended).

    Things kinda got worse. During one of the last Q3 games, GTV froze. Apparently, due to a security risk, servers were disconnected and physically removed from the building :[
    No coverage of final games, which are being played using servers running on tourney pc's.

    I heard that a fair amount of the prizes were stolen, someone robbed those lovely 21" LCDs and leet gaming machines.
