I thought it might be an idea to make a list (or possibly even a sticky) of online music shops, because that's what I came here looking for and can't find. I'm sure it would be of benefit to all.

American site. Some of you may be familiar with www.deepdiscountdvd.com. Very good selection, but there is a shipping charge for International orders, $6 (€4.70) for an order up to $25. While high, some might benefit from the weak dollar on the already cheap CDs. Plus you may be able to put it to good use if you are visiting the United States (free shipping), or need to order that special US-exclusive CD.

This is a pretty kool site. It was only launched last month. You can view albums and then just download individual tracks (legally).

It cost about 99p per track (depending on how many 'credits' you purchase).

I've been using it for the past couple of weeks and its pretty kool. A fairly good selection as well as a few exclusives before they are released in the shops.

As far as I know it's free delivery (not sure if, it's free to Ireland though, I think it is)

The price is in £'s Sterling but convert it across and it's still cheap for CD's!

Yes. 101cd have a great back catalogue, and they're damn cheap, but postage generally takes about 2 weeks.

American site, big selection and affordable because prices are in US$. Delivery is costly but doesnt double with second CD so best to buy a few.

www.eil.com is good for rarities and hard to find items. I've bought from them before without problem, and they're based in the UK.

I think www.bangcd.com are excellent and very cheap for current chart cds. Only 6.99stg and free delivery worldwide. Not much of a back catalogue though.

I agree bangcd is very good, there delivery time is speedy, usually two days after shipping, their back catalogue is no good tho, and they suck for anything non-chart really.

I know this was asked a long time ago, but I wanted to express my disappointment with 101CD. I ordered a total of four items from them and after six months, they had managed to deliver two of them. Most of the items weren't even particularly obscure. In fact one of them I ordered because they sent me a promotional email for it! I eventually cancelled the order nine months later and got the item within a week from Ebay. A big let-down and a complete waste of time, in my experience.
