Logging on

When I try to log onto the internet at home(broadband) or at work(isdn), the problem is the same. The username is correct but the password seems have grown! I reenter the password, everything works fine. I hang up then relog in its grown again. This is driving me mad.

Windows XP atuomagically increases the number of dots in the password field so no-one can guess the password by it's length. The stored pwd doesn't change.
