Mapping Software

Does anyone know of any mapping software that would allow me to piece together a city map that is on paper at the moment? And allow me to search by street etc etc. This could probably be done in Flash but there is probably an easier way to do so using a custom tool. I eventualy want to put this application on cd-rom! Tnx

that sounds like an awful lot of hassle unless there is a program out there for EXactly that.......it would prob be just as handy (and expensive !!) to but the national ordinance survey cd rom ....

Try mapflow.ie or the ordnance survey - both have digital mapping products.
