IOLBB and UTVip are cheaper today than Eircom will be in March

    In case anyone doesn't bother reading the whole thread on the "exciting" new eircom prices, bear this in mind.

    The Minimum Contract for all the current DSL services is 12 months.

    That means that IOLBB today costs €49.99 * 11 = €549.89 (first month free, free modem, free connection). UTV costs €495.

    In March, eircom might introduce new prices (if ComReg approve the margin squeeze) that will cost you (12 * €40) = €480 plus a connection fee of €60 (plus VAT, it looks like). That's €552.60, and it's not clear if it will include a modem.

    So if you were going to wait until March to get "cheaper" Broadband, don't!
