Laptop Headphone noise

Well lads a quick question, Ive a dell laptop. And when you stick headphone in to it theres a HUGE ammount of Static noise. Its really annoying. I know it will be there but is there any way of reduceing the noise? Ive pritty good headphone so that aint the problem.. TIA...
