Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My scenario is I have a broadband 4 port router modem (not wireless) with 2 PCs on it. I now have a laptop and 802.11b PCMCIA card and want to connect into the router.

My query is whether it is possible to get some kind of standalone wireless transmitter that will sen stuff from a port of my existing router to my wireless PCMCIA card. Or am I going to have to ditch the router and get an all-in-one router/modem/802.11 jobby?

    Thanks folks!

You just need to buy an access point and plug it into one of the routers spare network ports and thats it, dont forget to secure the thing now (at the very least turn on wep)

Ah cool thanks. For some reason I had it in my head that a network access point was a receiver, not a transmitter.

    Cheers, sirlinux
