App for making Atrac Cd's

Does anyone know of anyother program for making Atrac Cd's besides Sony's piece of sonic stage simple burner $hite that won't work for me.

Was wondering about the same thing...

Is that different from making mp3 or wma cd's? :ninja: (the point being that you can store several hours of music on to one cd.)

Yea its different it uses different codecs.

I'm guessing that there isn't another program because why would Sony bother releasing their Atrac codec?

At the moment my brother has wasted his money on an Atrac discman as he can't write atrac cd's.

The whole Sony sonic stage simple burner route is a disaster. Theres a few workarounds on the MD forums but their not pretty. Is why I've never gone the Net MD route myself. Forums around the world are full of people complaining about the dire Sony software.

Should bring it back and say it doesn't work (the software). then get a panasonic one. I have got one and it works perfectly.

'Cos I got one recently (from a pigsback offer) and it's an mp3 one too - I didn't see any models that weren't both mp3 and atrac.

I've never tried the atrac s/w - don't think I'll even bother now.

I was thinking of getting that one on offer from pigsback also.
So what can you do with this diskman, that you can't with others! What is the problem with Atrac cds? Is it easy to make such CDs for this player?

The sony software to do it is rubbish.

I already have one and I'm delighted with it. I use it for standard cds and mp3 cds.

Could your brother not just make mp3 cds?
