    Folks,

Is there anything that can be done against retailers who, like in many of the current posts refer to, magically display a "pre-Sale" price during a sale when you know in your heart of hearts that the "SALE" price is actually the normal retail price.

Ooh, a thought. If people were to monitor such instances and report cases of obvious rip offs, could said people submit such findings to Harney & Co. as they are constantly telling us to "shop around, get value for money" etc to prove that there is "NO POINT" in shopping around as we are all still being "SHAFTED"

    Comments?

    Report them to the ODCA
Exact details of prices before and after would be good. Obviously not everything in a shop is going to be "in the sale" so limit yourself to stuff that's actually "in the sale".

The ODCA will probably want to do their own investigation but the more exact you are in your description the better.

They are understaffed (there's a shock) but they do occasionally prosecute and they're better than nothing. Carmel Foley actually seems interested in doing her job. Closer to Joe Meade (data protection commissioner) than Comreg then.

CC it to Harney as well while you're at it.
