    I recently Purchased a computer ,
    rebuilt I might add.
Due to the fact that i am a student.
Now its fine and does everthing i need it to do,
Nothing fancy just web access , emails and wp.

Yet the computer when on the net or left for a period of time
    Freezes.
    Nothing is acessible.
I have to reboot to get her going.
I brought it back to the shop, and tell me she was fine.
Yet it still happens. Twice tonight in fact!

Does anybody have an idea of what may be causing this?
Also have done the virus check thing to the max

    Many thanks

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

c'mon m8 you've got to do better than that

Specify exactly all the components in the system. What motherboard, ram, hard disk, etc., etc. Also what Operating System (OS) are you using, i.e. windows 98, windows 2000 professional, windows xp home, etc

the fact that it was recently formatted and the problem persisted would seem to say that its more than likely a hardware prob.....

Next time u boot go into you bios an monitor the temp (if available) for about 5 - 10 min: it should settle down to well under 45 deg. if this seems ok then cheap RAM can often cause unexplicable lockups - u might want to check the mem stick(s) for a brand name or better yet replace them with different ram if u can get ur hands on some. if u have more than 1 brand of ram in u should post that up here someone might have had the same incompatability issue .... hope it helps..
