    hey,
ive got win xp pro, and a few wks ago an annoying thing occured
every time i enter a web address wrong or even sometimes when i ckick on a valid link whilst in google, the lycos search page opens up!
this is really p***ing me off..i dont want any autosearch
how do i stop this and how do i stop sites like lycos automatically setting themselves upon my computer?
is a firewall the only method?

On IE setect tools --> internet options

Click the advanced tab, go down to

"searching from the address bar" and select

"Do not search from the address bar"

    This should fix it...

    Thanks joePC...
