Does Anyone Know Derrygonnelly in Co.Fermanagh??

    I'll be moving up to Enniskillen soon as I've had a job offer. As I'm from Castlebar (Mayo), I don't really know the different areas in Fermanagh.

    I was wondering if anyone knows the village of Derrygonnelly, which is about 10 miles North-West of Enniskillen on the Belleek road.

    Does anyone know if it would be an ok place to live for someone who has a Castlebar accent!! Is it a "mixed" village? Is it a fairly quiet village, or does there be much in the way of trouble?

    As far as I know.. its not a bad place to live.

    they have trad music Festivals in derrygonnelly, so it should be welcoming enough.

    Hi

    My family are originally from Belleek and we visit Fermanagh often (live in Meath now) - Fermanagh is mainly RC and Nationalist but is not as 'troubled' as some other parts of the North, you don't have to worry about your accent for example!

    Best of luck with the move, its a part of the world that I would love to live in if only I could get decent employment there!
