Malfunctioning Usb Drive

Have new laptop and bought memory stick so i could transfer information from old computer to new. Problem is the info pen will not register on my new computer when i plug it in. Its a Relatively old computer 98 and maybe the drivers need to be updated not sure though. Any suggestions would be appreciated?? Ned ;-)

Windows 98 needs drivers to recognise USB mem sticks. Do a search on the Ms site for "USB storage drivers" and "Windows 98"
