Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had a lot of trouble getting to Boards.ie this morning. Did anyone else have the same problem? To be honest, it's a credit to you guys that there is so little downtime for these servers, but I have to say, I've never experienced a failure to get to Boards before. I nearly paniced!

Guess you guys must be human after all...

We had a spot of network trouble, nothing serious and very quickly sorted out. The two boxes that power boards (muppet+wang) have currently a combined uptime of 319 days, which I reckon isn't too bad =)

Ah, interesting. I'm trying to setup a server at the moment using Apache, but I've found I have to run Tomcat on it to make it work. Tomcat then re-writes a lot of the security protocols, and wont allow us to run Perl executables the way we would normally like.

Do you use any cgi-scripting, or is it all Java-like? We're using the Perl scripts to generate e-mails to the support team even if the user doesn't have a mail client setup.

God, I really should have posted this in programming! Sorry! ;)

vBulletin is entirely php with a mysql database. No java.
