Round 2 started today so all the big men start playing. All the irish have a tough second round match, Doherty plays Holt (who will want revenge), Judge faces O'Sullivan and Swail has Jimmy White all tomorrow.

The player I have gotten fed up saying he is due a win has won the Welsh open, Ronnie O'Sullivan. He beat Steve Davis 9-8. I think it was on BBC Wales but I didn't catch it.

Next up is the Masters which starts this Sunday on BBC.

the majority of the tournament was shown on Eurosport, would have loved to see Davis win though, and he did deserve it imo, but just gave too much table time to OSullivan in the final 3 games... something you can never do :)

Yeh, I was gutted as well. I was watchin it on Aertel.. Yes, I said Aertel. Would have loved to see have seen Steve win his first ranking tournie in 9 years!

Yeah, Steve must feel gutted after losing an 8-5 lead. You might say its the other one that got away. :D

Still, fair play to Ronnie, he played out of his socks to win the last few frames.
