So who is planning on making the trip to Citywest to see this event?

Unfortunately O Brien and Judge wont be playing as they didnt qualify, but major congratulations to Colm Gilcrest who won 6 qualifying matches to make it through to the big event.

So itll be up to him and doherty to hopefully win the thing

Yeah, well done to Colm on getting through, them qualifieng matches can be very hard.

I should be heading back down this year again hopefully. I'll probably stay down there all day on friday for the quarters & then all day sunday for the final. :)

Yes I love to go to the Irish Masters in Citywest as I used go to The Benson & Hedges Tourament in Goffs but I need help how do you get the tickets for the irish masters as it is not on the world snooker asscoiation website. Please write back as I would love to get the tickets.:)

Not sure where you can book them but last year, there were seats free right up to the quarter finals and I think even the semis?? So, unless it's the finals you want, the handiest thing is just to go over and get the tickets on the day. They have a wee stall there for selling tickets. You might even be able to get tickets for the final at one of the earlier matches.

If you've never been, it's well worth going over to check it out, however I'm not mad about it myself. I'd rather watch on the TV tbh. Too hot and cramped (tiny seats, no leg room) and a limited view of the table (as well as constant distraction from heckling scumbags.. it only takes 1 or 2!!). Also can't hear ref, players or commentry. Don't mean to put you off but just beware before you go.

Plus Citywest is an awful venue for a snooker tournament. Goffs was a great venue, pity it's no longer there. Anyways why bother going to the Irish masters when you can go to the Worlds! Went to the crucible last year and it was ace, will be buying tickets again this year.

For quite a few years the main ticket dealer for the Irish Masters is Kingsbury Furniture in Tallaght Village. (Just at the old Iceland building & next to the Bank of Ireland)

They used to mention them on the World Snooker website but don't seem to anymore. Anyway, tickets are generally available from the 1st week in March. :)
