I know nothing about MiniDiscs. I'm posting this on behalf of my brother, who also knows little about MDs.

Can somebody please tell me how to record to one from a PC. I don't understand the instructions given in the manual. The model is a Sharp MD-MT280E.

Just plug a lead in to the line out connection on the sound card (Mini-plug, like you have on your head phones) then plug the other end into the line in on the md player. Hit record on the MD, play the file on the computer. Adjust the record level on the ND if it's too loud or quiet.

    Job done.

Well, that was pretty easy in the end! Works perfectly.

    Cheers!

I use CD Wave to split the wave into seperate tracks.
