Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If it was an 8:00 kick off it should give the Villa some time to try and get some away goals.

    \starts praying

I can just see the back page now !

    Roman says Akocha !
    Chelski bid for Ay Ay

Absolutely stunning free kick for the 5th, sheer class ! I reckon that will be goal of the season without doubt.

Very entertaining game but I have to agree Angel was off-side at least 2 times for his second goal and Bolton have every right to be agrieved over it. All to do for Villa now !

What a goal! I never thought he'd be able to get it in from there. But then again its Jay Jay... :)

Aye a truely great freekick and easily contender for goal of the season. Bolton really tore them to pieces. Aston Villa will do well to pull back the defecit at home although stranger things have happened..

Who was the bolton player blocking the goalkeepers line of vision? looked like a textbook training ground situation to me carried off to perfection, lovely to see goals like that.. altogether a great game, poor defending on both sides, but they were both playing out of their skins and with a real hunger.. as said on ITV later .. a great advertisment for league cup football.

Great goal alright but I can't see anything beating Laurent Robert's 35 yard screamer against Tottenham a few weeks ago (his second stunning goal in that game in fact :) )

Jay Jay: So good they named him twice.

I was sitting in the pub with no tv in front of me, but aware the game was on. I kept hearing excited commentators every few minutes, thought they must have been showing highlights of something else - there were that many goals.

Must go watch the game next week, if only to see the review of this weeks game!
