    For some reason I thought Damageplan would have had a power metal singer type guy instead of an Anselmo clone ... pretty good stuff though! Video is a bit like some of the Pantera vids too ..

    That's pretty kick ass, sound smore or less the same as Pantera, perhaps a tad heavier though. I shall be having some of that.

    Yeah, I've heard it. It's almost exactly like Pantera. I think Vinnie and Dime are just about to get one over Phil and Rex with this one. Hopefully they will come to Ireland unlike SJR and Down. :rolleyes:

    If you guys like pantera and maybe want something not as heavy phil anselmo has a side band called Down and they have 2 albums out at the moment...

    The first is NOLA
    and the second is called II

    Its heavy metal alright but with a blues influence

    also check out metal-sludge's site where they show bands before they were famous, fu€kin' bunch of pussies they are, hairband wearing tossers; Diamond Darrell Lance!

    I like their music though, well some of it :)

    And the singer is Pat Lachman, who played guitar in Halford. He's a top quality guitar player, shame he's just doing vocals, he and Dime shredding it up would be something worth hearing.

    If you think that Panerta photo is funny - you should see the Slayer one with Kerry King & Hanneman in spandex jumpsuits all glammed up - except unlike 'those slayer dicks' - Pantera never denied they were big ass Kiss/Glam rock fans.... hell Dimebag went around with images of the four kiss singers on his Dean ML guitar for years.... even has an Ace Freely Tat on his personage.....

    The DamagePlan album is pretty decent - I wasn't expecting a 'Pantera-Clone' band - I wouldn't have been into that as there was ONLY one Pantera..... but this new band is really musically, texturally & dynamically diverse & really shows Dimebag stretching beyond the 'riffer' madness that was Pantera...... really shows how talented the dude is & how versatile he is.....
