    i keep having this prob

    im getiing lag on power

    plus it keeps dieing out on me

    214si 93 1.4 16v tiwncam

    tis doing meh head right in

    the spanner head checked the ecu and couldn't find any thing

    Is that the model with the Honda engine ?

    Could you describe the fault a bit more?
    Does it happen when the car is hot or cold ?
    Is there a check light coming on on the dash ?

    It's possible that the O2 sensor may need replacing if there is one.

    I would leave ECU alone. Give us more info but anyway you always start from basic things like HT cables/sparks/loose vacuum hoses etc.

    hate to say this but check the expansion tank for sludge and check under the filler cap for mayo.. just to rule of dreaded head gasket failure.. if coolant is clean and nothing under oil cap you probably OK.

    when was the last time it had a service?
