Can't pay by CC on paypal!

I have just received my Expanded use number from Paypal in my CC statement and I have entered it into the site. When I try to pay for items on Ebay it says:
"you cannot pay by credit card at this time. Please try again."

Why is this?

I have tried to add funds to my account but the only option is to transfer funds by bank account. How come I can't transfer funds by credit card?

Also, could someone who uses Paypal try this please?

Credit card works fine with paypal for me tonight. Paypal sucks anyway try http://www.moneybookers.com

I got a reply from PayPal about my problem and this is it:

Dear eirebhoy,

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

To ensure the integrity of our network, PayPal performs frequent
examinations of our system. To protect our network of customers, we
choose to err on the side of caution, which may result in some accounts
in good standing being affected.

In certain cases, some PayPal users will not be able to fund their
payments using one of their funding sources registered to their account.
If your transaction has been denied, you may still be able to perform
the transaction by using your balance or another funding method.

Please note:

· You may be able to perform this type of transaction at a later
date, when you have established more history with your PayPal Account
· We cannot disclose the specific criteria used to determine how an
account might be affected
We are currently investigating any potential issues with the Pay for
eBay Items feature and apologize for any inconvenience.

The Pay for eBay Items feature will detect:

· Unpaid eBay items recently won within the last 7 days
· Listings won from all eBay sites including U.S. and non-U.S.
· Foreign currency listings
· Fixed Price listings
· Items won from eBay Motors
· Dutch auctions
· eBay Store Items
· Private Listings
· Personal Offers

Pay for eBay Items feature will not detect:

· Items a bidder has lost or are still open
· Items a bidder has won more than 7 days ago

If you are still experiencing difficulty, please respond directly to
this message with the eBay Item Numbers for the listings which you are
unable to detect, along with the following specific information:

1. Was this feature working for you previously and is currently not?
If so, when did you begin experiencing difficulty?
2. Is it finding items sporadically or not detecting items that you
have won at all?
3. Have you recently updated or changed your eBay user ID, password,
or email address associated with your eBay account?

So given this reply it means it is not possible for me to use paypal. This means that I will get bad feedback on Ebay from two sellers I was supposed to pay and I was getting a bloody bargain. I really feel like smashing the computer screen.:mad:

If you want I can transfer the money on your behalf and then you can pay me? I have over 350 quid in my paypal account and cant transfer back onto CC

Thanks a lot mate. Altogether I will need about Eur80 but just make it 85 to be safe. PM me your Bank a/c details and I will transfer you the money.
