Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ronaldo got a penalty for the slightest nudge in the back.Forlan took it and missed, being his normal self

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    2-0 at the moment

Silvestre with the first,it rebounded of his shin and in

Hargreaves o.g. for the second, corner hit into the box and he stuck a leg out at it

    lol.

good ole Forlan :) always dependable.

other than that, not much to shout about in the first half.

Northampton are poor and Utd aren't much better.

What a shot off the crossbar by Richards, would have been some goal if scored

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    3-0

Forlan finally doing something productive.O'Shea with the cross from the right wing, headed across the face of the goal by Ronaldo and the simplest of tap in's for Forlan

Throught to the next round. Not a great performance, some of the finishing was very poor and the positional sense of the attackers is not good enough. The defence is worrying too as I think against better opposition they could have conceded.

Overall job done, must do better in later rounds.

BTW Anyone got the result of the Rotheram match. ;)

Solid performance. Ronaldo was very good.

Sure you weren't watchin' the Rotheram game :D

In the match I saw the Goalie made a very good save !!;)

It was justice to be honest because I dont think Ronaldo was that severely fouled.

    Tinky

had to laugh when i saw this on the bbc website

"" £11.75m signing Ronaldo teases his lower league opponents with a dazzling display of not one, not two, but six step overs - only to then allow the ball to run straight to his opponent's feet to hoots of derision at Sixfields Stadium. ""

the boy will never learn lol

He went down to easily for my liking too but there was definite contact. Justice was served with the pen being saved. I hope fergie removes that aspect of his game as he has done with Ruud.

BTW I doubt Kmart has time to watch football , I think he's on some sort of crusade on the post count front. Hundreds in the past week. whats the story K mart?;)

Ronaldo has a lot of maturing to do and I think he should look at Jay Jay Okocha.
When Okocha first arrived at Bolton he was a skilful player but very unpredictable. Since arriving he has worked on other areas of his game and has complimented them with his skill. I think this is something Ronaldo should be doing.

Continental versus English playing styles in a nutshell - Ronaldo trying all this fancy stepover bollocks, then either losing the ball or getting a good old fashioned elbow in the head from a defender. Keep it up boy :)
