Which martial art(s) are you interested in learning ? I'm sure people will post links and recommendations if you tell them what you might be interested in. There are loads of martial arts clubs/schools on the southside. BTW have you looked at the sticky at the top of the page about "clubs in your area" ? If you're in college check out the sticky on college clubs, there are loads of them.

    Here's 2 to get you started :

Kung Fu http://www.scmaa.ie located in Blackrock

Taekwon-Do http://www.rita-itf.org located in Stillorgan, Terenure, Tallaght.

    PR.

I was looking for something agressive which also uses physical strength? Kickboxing is appealing...something like that?

    thanks for the links...

my advice to you is to try out the bjj in Loughlinstown
they do stand up game ( striking) on Monday's
and Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu on Wed Sats and Sun
the training is "physical" as you put it although most martial arts rely on application of technique to over come superior strength
    check this
    www.straightblastgym.com/page.aspsection=Ireland&parent=Locations&session=

the southside martial arts assoc located in Newpark also has a very good rep their Instructor Paul Moran teaches reality fighting classes as well as Kung Fu
    http://www.scmaa.ie

Kick Boxing in deansgrange check out
    http://www.kickboxing.ie/reg.htm

    at leopardstown
    http://www.kickboxing.ie/jimmy.htm
i beleive the training is good but cannot say first hand

    Hey Ronaldo7,

I'm a member of the SCMMA in Blackrock. We do Kung Fu three nights a week plus Tai Chi one night. We also do quite alot of ground fighting/grappling/BJJ and mix in other techniques.

Drop down to Newpark in Blackrock on an Monday/Wednesday/Thursday night at 7.00pm to check things out and talk to Paul.
