Not sure if this is the right place to post but oh well :)

We've got a laptop and desktop here for the moment. Both running Win2k Pro. Both have network cards etc. Is this enough to share an internet (UTV ADSL) connection ? Anyone tell me what I should be looking for ?

    Thanks

All you need is a way of connecting the two pcs (a small hub and 2 cat5 ethernet cables, or just a cross-over cat5 cable without a hub).

Then give the pc the modem is attached to an IP address on 192.168.0.1, and the other pc an ip address of 192.168.0.2. Give them both a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Right click the internet connection on the pc the broadband modem is attached to and select properties, click "advanced" on top and you'll see the option to share the internet connection. From then on, whenever you try to access the internet from either pc, the one with the modem will dial.
