bluetooth for Linux red hat 9

Hi,
I am wondering if there is any one out there who has used a bluetooth usb plugin ( like the little belkin or 3com ones you can get ) with Red Hat9 (or even kernel version 2.4.18). I have used a belkin plugin with windows. Since windows does not support bluetooth drivers I had to install the driver which came with it. I then used it to communicate wirelessly with another p.c with the same setup.
My end concern is to have two red hat 9 machine pinging each other using these adapters over the bluetooth connection. Does anyone know how to install these plugins for Linux and then use them for wireless ( ethernet like ) communication.

You need to build the bluetooth modules for the kernel (not the one under USB, the ones under bluetooth on the main config menu.. cd /usr/src/linux; make menuconfig.. that menu).

Then you need the bluez libraries and programs. I don't know where to get redhat 9 rpms for that, but if you want to build from source, you can get the source and the howtos from http://bluez.sf.net
