Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    The subject says it all,
has this been brushed under the carpet?,
    discussed and discarded?
rejected because it is too hard to implement?
no serious talk about it yet?

    I have a suggestion -
Get freeware auction site software Everysoft has one such stable item, with addons for feedback and more ....
I thought it would be easy to implement for outstanding site admins such as the boards admins. ;)

Just make it VERY plain that this is an Ireland only -NOT FOR PROFIT- thing and delete and dodgy or stupid items ... then use the existing for sale forum to allow people to discuss the merits of the item for sale .... there is no bidding on boards etc .. and the auction script has sniper protection built in so there would be no cases of people waiting for 5 seconds before the end of auction to get a cheaper deal

Please discuss your decision in public (if not the decision making process itself)

I've been planning on rolling out something like this soon. Not sure how keen we'd be on using a perl cgi app, but we'll take a look :)
