    It will blow your 9700 away.

    Consider its price tho as you may be better going for a 9600xt.

    Dont get that card, your 9700 will definetly out perform it..

    The 9800se performs about the same as a 9600pro (mabye a little less) in games. It has only half the pipelines of the 9700 & 9800m its basicly a crippled 9800. The 9700 is a damm good card at the min, only upgrade id think about is to a 9800pro.

    Just one of the reviews.... Here , it doesent even perform as well as a 9600pro. The 9700pro kills it, huge difference.........im sure the 9700 would also kill it performance wise.

    The 128bit (ie the sapphire ones) if you are lucky enough to softmod them then you will be left with a 9500/9500pro .

    The 256bit ones mod to 9700/9700pro/9800/9800pro ................. definetly not worth the risk when .....

    9800pro -> €266
    9700pro -> €230
    9600xt -> €158

    I would personally take a chance on the Hercules 9800se AIW, higher softmod rate , softmod to a 9800pro, and has AIW.........
