Ive decided to go with a Pentium 4 system for my first self built machine, Im gonna use some 3200 DDR ram too, I was wondering which of the two above mentioned boards would be best? Also, whats the difference between SATA and ATA 133 controllers? HDD stuff I presume

The p4c800 is definately the better of the two. Slightly better than the p4c800 is the Abit IC7-MAX 3 Intel 875P Motherboard. Both around e200. You won't go wrong with either. They are the best p4 boards on the market.
