Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Arsenal interested in Morientes

    was on planetfootball i think.
I would be delighted if Wenger managed to sign him. I reckon he's one of the top 5 finishers in the world. Unlike Jeffers, he would be a finisher who could fit in with the team's playing style. If Reyes then dropped back to being an attacking midfielder (a big if), that would mean an attacking quintet of Pires, Reyes, Lyungberg, Henry and Morientes. That would be quite decent.

It would indeed if Henry was still going to be there? When you get the Chaiman telling you that he could earn more money elsewhere taking into account the current spending and the Money they have to write off in the summer it does make me doubt that he will still be there.

Henry has said a lot of times that he wants to stay. Still that can change easily these days. However, its fair to say that he given no indication of even thinking about leaving.

I think I read about this yesterday on sky sports. Aparently Real are very interested in doing a deal cause they are trying to prise Henry away from Arsenal. However Wenger refuses to do such a deal saying the best he could do would be to give Real First Offer on Henry were he up for sale.

Morientes is a good player and I think he would do well in the Premiership cause he's strong and good in the air.

A friend in London is a Chelsea fan and has the insider track. Apparently Abramovich hasn't given up on Henry yet and rumours are that he may even be prepared to offer some obscene amount for him. Every player has a price. If Reyes settled in very well and they could get another striker I reckon they would take 60M+ for Henry.

dont think it will happen tbh
he is a good player but aresnal wont be buying anybody for a while i think after the reyes purchase plus there are some decent players coming through in bentley, alialidare

arsenal need to give them a chance

and talk of henry going is boring at this stage now

    hence the link!

Half the world's population have been linked with Arsenal recently. There's probably more truth to the Heskey - Milan rumour than this one.

The rumour is that henry is Off in the Summer and Kluivert is on his way in.
The rest will be Quaking in their boots.

    NOT

Nice of the Chairman to remind him he could earn mor money elsewhere all the same.

The_Muppet, do you feel you have to leave crappy little flame-bait comments in every single thread concerning Arsenal?

    Yep

    Next question:D

God you're very touchy. Its one of the many rumours going around you must have heard and Arsenal Spending Millions now when they were virtually broke a few short months ago just adds creedance to the story.

I can post the quote from the Chairman if you like.:D

There is plenty of flame baits in threads that I have steered clear of lately but I suppose your wengeritis eyesight wouldn,t allow you see that.:D

Well, at least you're honest :)

why would morientes move from monaco? they are 4 pts, at least, clear in the french league. they are having a great UCL campaign.
(and the french league is getting more competitive)

and why the ....would arsenal want kluivert? he's a waning player. bloody useless.
heskey would be better. but we don't need a striker now. i think we need a top class right back to replace Lauren. the man is a liability too often.
good thing Euro'04 is round the corner. we can go hunting for rightbacks. Lativan one anybody? max 1million. a steal.

I was under the impression that Morientes had been sold to Monaco? Is he just on loan, or something?

Anyway, as far as I can tell, anyone suggesting Henry is on his way out is just a deluded Man U / Liverpool / Chelsea / Spurs fan trying to convince themselves that they wont be on the receiving end of another 5-star Henry performance next season.

Sorry to tell you this lads, but you will!

I was simply echoing an article I read. It doesn't mean I believe it will happen.

    Morientes to Arsenal Report

And it isn't a delusion it's a posibility. Any Arsenal fans that say it Definately won't happen is deluded. No player is irreplaceable and if the price is right then why not cash in.

A big name striker will be at Chelsky next year - one of Ronaldo,Henry,Raul,Owen or Ruud.

    Abramovic's preference apparently is Henry
