Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm bored so I thought that I'd share my boredom with a few of Premiership Trivia Questions!! Sad I know!!!

Q1. Since the premiership started, who many teams have played in the top flight?

Q2. How many teams have remained in the top flight throughout?

Q3. Name the teams for Q2.

Q4. Which team has avoided being relegated the most times, i.e. finished directly above the relegated places most often?

Q5. Which player has the longest name in the Premiership?

Now don't go off Googling for the answers!!!

    Q1

    Played or play ?

    Play.

Finnan, Diao, Diouf, Hamann, Dudek, Carragher, Owen, Heskey, and more.

    Played.

Robbie Fowler, Brad Friedel, Jason, McAteer, Steve Staunton

    Q2

I don't think that there are any, there are rumoured to be a few but can't think of them. Couple who were theleagues first winnersor something and first cup winners opr first team but unfortunately I think they all have to play by the same rules.

I did. I made an ar*e of the question in the first place. There are 4 players who played in goal for Liverpool who were in WC2002 squads.

Friedel, Dudek, Westerveld and James - 3 out of 4

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 348 ✭✭watman

Q1 - Trick Question ? - Dudek , Friedel and James have been agreed..

4th Person - Steve Staunton , played in goal v bradford (I think) after a sending off

Here is one for you . It kept us guessing hours in work today

Which international player scored ten goals in his native country before being signed by a top Premiership side but only netted once after his arrival?_ He was then sold on to another European side where he failed to score at all (although he did get one for his country during his spell at this club) before being purchased by a different Premiership side where he only managed to find the net once._ He was then off-loaded to his third English team, where he failed to score at all. Who is he?

I believe that would be one Peter Schmeichel.

Heres one for the Liverpool and Manchester United fans . who was the last player be transferred directly between the two clubs.

I heard somewhere (it's probably apocryphal tho) that Notts County don't have to because they are the oldest surviving professional club in the world. Don't know about the second one tho.

I think this was Matt Busby or some other guy that went on to manage Man U
