I understand that the kitchen in question has since been sold to finance said bike. They use a mini fridge and an msr camping stove! Probably worth it though.

If you want less reach, just use a shorter stem and move the saddle forward.

As you get fitter (if you're doing it right) you should find your reach improves due to improved back flexibility.

I have the same problem with a Ridley.
I recently got a bike fit and he put the smallest stem on it, still not perfect.
He said different brands are known to have longer top tubes even though they say they are the same size, e.g. 54 or 56.
Apparently Ridleys are suitable for people with a longer upper body and not so long legs, I'm the opposite - long legs and smaller upper body that is sort of out of proportion.
So I'm left with the same problem as yourself, not so bad now after the fit.
If I had put as much effort into reading about bikes before I got it as I do now I would have known the bike wasn't suitable.

    Hi Rob,

Sorry, was that request from Homer for me or Mr. Merkxx?!!

If it's for me I'm not yet sure. Okay if I keep your kind request in mind?
