    Is this better?

I'm considering rebuilding it with early 90s C-Record / first generation ergopower and deltas. That or else buy an older cheaper frame for that build.

....and it looks even better in the flesh. A really, really beautiful bike that oozes class.

I think it has had to be sent on the hairy fella with the reindeer, so i may have to wait until 26th December to start the build ;(

It gives me a bit of time to buy some more bits :)

Why do Colnago make the front forks a different colour? Stoopid looking.

I 'll email Ernesto to tell him about your disappointment.

Most colnagos with steel forks have them painted in the same colour as the frame; unless they are Crome and they match the rear stays and Crome lugs on those frames.

Their older frames with carbon forks are in natural carbon weave which was consistent with other frames of that era.

So yours is a bit of a collectible is what you're saying then?

I wouldn't bother. Judging by the style of his bikes I doubt he has embraced modern technology such as email!

No, it just happens to be an old frame / bike that I like to use as an everyday bike. Definitely not a collectible.

Ha ha! Be sure to bring your old "vintage" colnago and other such "retro" or "hip", "cool" or other misnomer labeled bikes to throw on the pire!

Would you folks go out and buy a 1960s beetle or mini over a modern one? Who am I kidding, of course you would!

It doesn't have to be a choice of one or the other - but yes, I do happen to like older cars!

    "Retro" does not mean "old".

This is a thread about beauty. Not practicality or reliability or comfort.

Edit: And I would buy the old versions of those cars because last time I checked I am not a girl.

Your implication of the purpose of my post is incorrect.

I remember when we used to just pictures of bikes we liked, that was fun.

Another entry from the Alessandro Ballan collection, but I think this one's stunner.
