Beasty, what have we said about crank position and wheel decal alignment?

Beauty is in function, practicality, use and in the eye of the beholder.
I love these two bikes more than any others (one is mine one a mates)

Well there was a discussion at some stage about hiding the front valve behind the fork - I peronally think that's the better option when you have a rear disc wheel (which benefits from the valve hole being in the vertical position (y'see I did give it some thought) - you will note the S5 is fully compliant on that front while still hiding the valves.

I terms of the cranks, it's better to have the bike stood up than falling over so I compromised on that one ...

... anyway if you're not careful I'll post the full family portrait again

I'm just surprised that the RD stayed on the Basso as long as it did. It was hanging on by a thread as it was with the funky hanger and screws.

Why do all these pics have the saddle 6ft higher than the drops?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,718 ✭✭✭AstraMonti

A lot of people buy them one size smaller for a more aggressive position and some others just because it looks cool.

Apparently Cav has dropped down to a 49cm from a 53 cm for this year!

Mine was WAY nicer than yours. Look at that big fat-ass saddle you've got there for a start. Don't even get me started about the state of the garden with dead leaves, etc strewn hazardously around the place without even sight nor light of a hi-vis vest...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or in this case the owner.:).

They're actually not a bad looking bike at all, a mate just bought one and I'm quietly impressed by it in the flesh.
